Every parent knows it: Suddenly, and with full force, a wave of anger hits. This morning, we experienced it firsthand when my four-year-old daughter Elea realized with frustration that her favorite pants were in the wash. A classic case of everyday toddler drama!
First, I supported her in her anger – co-regulation is essential in such moments to give the child the feeling that their emotions are seen and understood.
