Recommendation:
In an acute rage, children are often not physiologically able to make rational decisions - and the cube won't change that. But anger often arises in waves - the earlier I intervene and provide support, the more likely I am to avoid a complete loss of impulse control.

If I engage in the necessary reflection after a tantrum, I also offer the child the opportunity to express possible angry emotions, for example, through one of these exercises. The message here is less about the immediate expression of anger and much more about validating the child's feelings.

I also recommend using the cube independently of tantrums. If the cube is used playfully, children's "skill toolbox of actions" can be expanded and strengthened, so that they internalize possible anger regulation strategies and, ideally, eventually use them intrinsically.
